Guilford, Conn.,

The East Coast Elite League is proud to announce the addition of the Seacoast Spartans for the upcoming season. The Spartans will be playing at both the 18U & 16U levels.

Kurt Mallett, the Seacoast Spartans Director of Hockey Operations is pleased to announce that the U16 and U18 Spartan teams have joined the East Coast Elite League.  The ECEL will provide players the opportunity to play against top players around the U.S. and Canada. The Seacoast Spartans organization is committed to the student athlete and we feel our development model will compliment the level of play the ECEL has to offer. We are excited to be able to compete on the same stage as other well established programs represented in this league. According to Kurt, “Competing in the ECEL will give our players the exposure they need for the opportunity to advance to the next level.”

ECEL President Peter Alden had this to say about the acceptance of the Seacoast Spartans: "We are excited to have the Seacoast Spartans in our league for the 2017-18 season. After a strong performance in the ECEL last season as a guest, we are confident that they will add even more depth to our lineup of teams. The Seacoast Spartans staff is extremely professional and displays all of the characteristics we look for in a league member. We are certain that this is a great move for our league and we look forward to seeing the Spartans compete in the fall."
