Jaxon Rutkowski Commits to Utica College

Guilford, Conn., - The East Coast Elite League is excited to announce that defenseman, Jaxon Rutkowski has committed to the Utica Pioneers for the 2018-19 season! Rutkowski tallied 3 goals and 20 assists this year with the Rochester Jr Monarchs, which led all Monarchs defensemen.  In the 2015-2016 season, In 72 games with Elite Hockey last season, Rutkowski registered 12 points (2 goals, 10 assists) and 126 penalty minutes.

“Jaxon has developed into a well-rounded defenseman while playing for the Elite Hockey Program” said President, Peter Alden.  “He brings a great physical presence, has great vision and we are confident he will be successful at the college level. We are very excited for Jaxon and his family as he continues his hockey and academic career at Utica!”

A quote from the Utica Pioneers Head Coach Gary Heenan on committing another local product:

"I remember training Jaxon when he was 7-8 years old. Super kid who really knows his game. Makes a great first pass and is defensively responsible. Looking forward to having him wear the orange and blue."
