Khokhlachev and Tait Drafted in the OHL Priority Draft

Guilford, Conn.,-The East Coast Elite League would like to congratulate two of its players from the 2016-17 season for being drafted in the Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection. This past Saturday, Timofei Khokhlachev (Hill Academy) and Connor Tait (Team Maryland) were drafted by the Saginaw Spirit and Kitchener  Rangers, respectively.

Khokhlachev, who was taken in the 9th round and 175th overall by the Spirit, had 10 points (3g-7a) in 12 games for Hill Academy.  The Moscow, Russia native participated in the 2016 ECEL All Star Game for Team Parros.

Tait, a Quinnipiac University commit, was taken in the 12th round (232nd overall) by the Rangers. Connor led ECEL with 16 goals and was tied for first in overall scoring with 19 points in just 9 games.  Tait also participated in the ECEL All Star Game for Team Krug.

Congratulations to both Timofei and Connor!
