The New Hampshire Avalanche are coming into the 2017/18 with lots of momentum and excitement around the program. The organization will be bringing 2 teams (18U & 16U) into their first season with the East Coast Elite League (ECEL). Both teams are set for big years and are loaded with new and returning Avalanche players.

The 18U team is led by HC Brian Saucier, Associate Coach Mario Martiniello as well as Junior Coach Chris Cerrella.  Coach Saucier, who recently joined the Avalanche staff, had this to say “The quality of ownership, coaches and players made my decision to join the NH Avalanche an easy one. I have always tried to surround myself with the best people who have a passion for the game and truly care about player development as much as I do. I am very excited for the opportunity to compete against the strong ECEL competition and be part of the NH Avalanche organization!"

At the 16U level, Head Coach Justin Soryal has assembled a team of top New England talent to compete against the likes of the strong ECEL members. “In just our 2nd year of full season midget teams we have been able to attract top end talent and put together teams that can compete against the very best programs around the country” stated President of the Avalanche Program Mario Martiniello.

Midget Director Justin Soryal had this to say about the upcoming season “We are very excited for our first year in the ECEL. I was lucky enough to coach a team in this league before and got to see first hand how well run and highly scouted it is. We feel that with the teams we put together this year that we will be able to make a deep run into the ECEL playoffs and even contend for a championship. The additions of Brian Saucier and Chris Cerrella (EHL coach who led the Nation in college commitments with 20 last season) help bolster our already strong staff that has development and placement first and foremost in our minds”
