Top players from ECEL 18U and 16U divisions head to prestigious Yale University for highly touted event!

New Haven, CT- ECEL Hockey is pleased to announce that its 2017-18 season All-star game will be returning to the iconic Ingalls Rink on the campus of Yale University!  The ECEL All-Star Event is set to begin late morning on Friday, Devcember 8 as a part of the ECEL WinterFest Showcase at Northford Ice Pavilion, Yale University & Wesleyan University (December 8-10).  The top players from the respective 16U and 18U divisions will head to Yale Friday, December 8th to play games in front of what is expected to be the most highly viewed event of the 2017-18 season. 

“The ECEL is thriving this season. The teams are solid from top to bottom and have had great success so far. Our last showcase was combined with the Beantown Fall Classic and placed our players in front of hundreds of NCAA, Junior & Professional scouts. As we move on to our final regular season showcase, the ECEL Holiday Classic & All Star Weekend, we will see the best players in our league on the ice at the same time. The games will take place at 10AM & 12PM on Friday which enables the NCAA coaches in the surrounding areas to attend our event. This move will be very beneficial for our players and we are excited for a fantastic event," said ECEL League Director, JP Withington.

The ECEL All-star games for 16U and 18U will be as follows:

16U

Team Huskies vs Team Pioneers 10AM

18U

Team Bobcats  vs Team Bulldogs 12 PM

Both games will consist of three (3) 17 minute periods.  Rosters will be announced shortly after the ECEL ALL Star Draft 11/17.

Founded in 2013, the East Coast Elite League is a four-weekend showcase series that will provide maximum exposure for its member organizations and their players, by playing in top venues, in ideal scouting locations.
