Boston Shamrocks Defenseman Itay Mostovoy Competes in IIHF World Juniors!

Boston Shamrocks junior defensemen, Itay Mostovoy (2001) of Zoron, Israel has been selected to Team Israel in the 2018 IIHF Ice Hockey U20 World Junior Championship Division III this week in Sofia, Bulgaria. 

Israel upset China 3—2 in Game 1 of the tournament. Mostovoy was awarded Player of The Game in the win in which he had 1 assist, 1 SOG, 2 PIMS and rated a +1. Mostovoy currently sits second in scoring for the Shamrocks with 12 goals, 22 assists for 34 points in 45 games. Mostovoy also holds a 3.8 GPA at Pope John XXIII. Itay was also selected to play in the 2017-2018 ECEL  All Star Game. 

Mostovoy is the second ECEL player in the last two seasons to compete in the IIHF World Junior Championships. The East Coast Elite League wishes Itay the best of luck in the remainder of the tournament!

Founded in 2013, the East Coast Elite League is a four-weekend showcase series that will provide maximum exposure for its member organizations and their players, by playing in top venues, in ideal scouting locations. Spread across the U16 and U18 divisions and represented by several of the top hockey organizations across the country, the ECEL is the premier showcase series in the United States, unmatched in its format and exposure opportunities.
