Guilford, Conn., - The East Coast Elite League made yet another splash in the national junior hockey ranks as it saw six of its players get drafted this past Tuesday to numerous North American Hockey League (NAHL) teams. Priding themselves on being “The League of Opportunity”, 315 NAHL players received NCAA commitments during the 2018-2019 season. This not only proves the league’s ability to send players to the next level, but it also backs the development and preparation the East Coast Elite League provides to its players.

As seen with the seven players taken in the United States Hockey League (USHL) draft this past May, teams and scouts across the nation are becoming more and more excited about the ECEL as a whole. Considering the USHL and NAHL’s prominence when it comes to attaining countless college commitments for its players year after year, the ECEL is extremely excited to announce and congratulate its players from the 2018-2019 season that are now drafted into the North American Hockey League.

The sixteen round draft took place on Tuesday with each team selecting their share of top players. Throughout the spring and summer, teams will hold camps where coaches will decide their final rosters for the upcoming season.

The East Coast Elite League once again congratulates the following players, and we wish them the best as they further their hockey careers!
