Guilford, Conn. - The ECEL Board of Directors is happy to announce that the 2020 All-Star Game will take place at the Tsongas Center, home of the three-time Hockey East Tournament Champion UMass Lowell Riverhawks.

The two-day event will take place on January 9th and 10th during our Winter Classic weekend. League Commissioner Peter Alden believes that this venue is a great fit for the league. “Since 2010 UMass Lowell has been one of the most consistent programs throughout the nation, so the partnership between our All-Star Game and the Tsongas Center was natural.”

This year will mark the second consecutive year that the game takes place at a Hockey East school after last year’s game took place at historic Matthews Arena on the grounds of Northeastern University.

At the end of the day, getting exposure for our players is our primary goal. The All-Star Game will allow our top players to experience a great campus and fantastic athletic facilities. All-Star roster and coaches will be announced in the next few weeks, so stay tuned!
