ECEL Welcomes Tomorrow’s Ice for the 2020-2021 Season!

Guilford, Conn., - The East Coast Elite League (ECEL), and the Board of Directors are proud to announce the addition of the Tomorrow’s Ice TI Selects out of Abingdon, MD for the upcoming 2020-2021 season.

Tomorrow’s Ice General Manager, Mike Shramek stated, "This is a tremendous opportunity for our players and our program.  This league provides a higher level of competition for our highest level teams to help support our player development model and quest to best prepare the players in our area."

Tomorrow’s Ice will be the only member of the ECEL that will come from the state of Maryland and the competitive DMV market.  ECEL President, Peter Alden is very excited to expand into this non-traditional market. “I’m very excited that we are expanding into MD with the addition of TI,” said Alden. “We have built a great understanding of the TI development model and enjoyed hosting their teams as guest at our events previously.  The board of directors and I are excited to now have Tomorrow’s Ice as a full time member representing the DMV.”

TI is an up and coming program with teams at multiple levels.  The TI Selects compete and train as part of the TIDP (Tomorrow’s Ice Development Program).  Led by experienced and successful player development professionals Jason and Ed Slusher, the TIDP will cultivate and develop local talent prepared to pursue competitive Tier 1 and Junior level opportunities by combining a focused methodical approach to training along with high level competition and exposure.  “The quality hockey, locations for ECEL Showcase weekends, and vision of league leadership align perfectly with the direction of the TIDP,” said Mike Shramek.  “We look forward to the experience that ECEL membership will provide our teams as they continue their journeys and pursuit as aspiring players.”
