ECEL Welcomes Maine Moose for the 2022-2023 Season!

May 27, 2022, Guilford, Conn.,- The East Coast Elite League (ECEL) and its Board of Directors are excited to announce that the league will welcome the Maine Moose into the ECEL starting with the 2022-2023 season.  

Alex Drulia, 18U Head Coach for the Maine Moose, said what attracted the Moose to the ECEL was the reputation of the league and the ability to play against high-level competition in the ECEL.  

"Our goal for this season is to develop and help our players grow on and off the ice and help them have a seamless transition to the junior and college hockey world.  Being a part of the ECEL will allow our players to play at a high level and against good organizations every game, this will allow our players to also be scouted by junior and college coaches." Said Drulia

The Maine Moose will join the ECEL at the U18 Full Tier 1 division for next season.  The Maine Moose are located in Hallowell, Maine and focus on three pillars of success, Development, Exposure and player Advancement to Junior and College hockey.

East Coast Elite League President Peter Alden is happy to welcome the Moose into the ECEL family. "We are excited to welcome the Moose into the ECEL. said Alden. When we looked at the Maine Moose, they checked the boxes as a reputable program, strong leadership and competitive teams. I expect them to come in and be highly competitive within the league."
