ECEL Fall Classic Preview

Guilford Conn,. - It's almost that time of the year again, our first event of the ECEL Fall Classic will take place from September 23-25, 2022 in Simsbury, CT and Amherst, MA.


This year's event will feature 21 teams that will play 4 games each in their respective division at the U18 level and U16 level. This 2022 event plays host to teams from all over North America; that include, 95 Giants, Elite Hockey Academy, Philadelphia Blazers, Mount Academy, Atlanta Fire, Monument Hockey Academy, King's Hill School, Ontario Hockey Academy, NY Saints, Tomorrow’s Ice, Bishop's College School and more!

"We are excited about this year's Fall Classic after a long summer layoff," said ECEL Commissioner Peter Alden. There is great parity in each of the age divisions and we can't wait to see everyone in action.  We are also excited to be using the Division one arenas at UMass Amherst which will be a nice treat for the coaches, players and teams.``

The upcoming fall classic will be the first event for new members that have joined our league during the offseason. New members include the Philadelphia Blazers, King's EdgeHill School, and we are also excited to welcome back Canadian members, Mount Academy, Ontario Hockey Academy and Bishop's College School!

This fall classic will feature some high-profile matchups starting in the 18U and 16U Divisions and will kick off at the state-of-the-art facility at the International Skating Center in Simsbury, CT.  The remainder of the weekend will continue in Simsbury and UMass Amherst.  For full rosters and schedule, please visit www.ECELHockey.com.  There will also be live scoring on the ECEL website through GameSheets and Live Broadcasting in Simsbury only on LiveBarn.com.
