Another first-year ECEL member

The California Wildcats come to 2016-17 ECEL Hockey season as another first-year member of the league.  After having success in the EJEPL, this west coast Wildcats not only plan to elevate their game against the high quality competition ECEL has, but further establish themselves as a team to look out for when their opponents look at their schedule.

"We are completely confident at this team’s competitiveness with 13 returning players from last year who already were competitive at this same level this past season as minor aged players," WIldcats program director Tomas Kapusta said.  "Our last year 2015-16 Midget 16AAA team  came down to the last few weeks with a chance to make playoffs as a minor team in a major division.  A large number of players from our team  move every season onto the CAHA select camp as well as the Pacific District camp and one of our last year players moved all the way to National Camp.  We believe this team has shown that they have a legitimate chance to be a group that will contend for the State Championship in the 2016-17 season in California. All our players this year are 2000 born."

ECEL would like welcome the Wildcats and look forward to having them as a more than quality franchise in our league.
