The ECEL announces addition of the New Hampshire Avalanche

Guilford, Conn., - The East Coast Elite League (ECEL) is excited to announce that the New Hampshire Avalanche 16U & 18U teams have been accepted as new members of the ECEL for the 2017-18 season.

This is the latest announcement of the ECEL line-up of teams for the 2017-18 season. The current membership stands at 12 different organizations and 20 teams. A 2017-18 ECEL event schedule will be posted in the near future.

"The New Hampshire Avalanche are a well run organization with a very experienced and professional staff.  The Avs coaching staff is top notch with Justin Soryal, Chris Cerrella, Mario Martiniello and Casey Kesserling.   We are excited about the addition of the Avalanche program as they are dedicated to providing every player the very best opportunity to develop and will continue to meet the standard of excellence in the ECEL next season." Stated ECEL President Peter Alden.
 

“The Avalanche feel that the ECEL will provide the platform needed for our players to get to the next level. The ECEL has done an excellent job of hosting events that draw National attention from scouts and their track record of successful alumni is fantastic” said Mario Martiniello, President and Owner of the New Hampshire Avalanche Hockey Program.

NH Avalanche Mission: As an organization, the Avalanche staff is committed to developing and placing aspiring student athletes in the NCAA.  “Our goal is simple: Help players achieve success through high-end skill development, and professional coaching. We feel that our facilities and coaching staff can be the springboard that gets players to the college level.” added Martiniello.

President Mario Martiniello is regarded in the hockey community as a top power skating instructor and has worked with several NCAA, Division I college players as well as NHL, AHL and ECHL professional players has put a staff in place that he feels can compete with any junior program in the country. Justin Soryal, Casey Kesselring and Chris Cerrella will be helping Martiniello build the franchise into a National Leader.

About the NH Avalanche Staff:

Justin Soryal, a former New York Rangers and Carolina Hurricanes Prospect, OHL (Peterborough Petes) and American Hockey League (Hartford Wolfpack & Charlotte Checkers) player, will continue his role as Midget Director and 16U Coach/18U Assistant Coach. 

Casey Kesselring, a USHL Regional Scout, a former Division 1 Merrimack College hockey standout, 5-year minor pro player,and current Head Coach at New Hampton Prep School, will be a part of the recruiting and skills development for the Junior Avalanche.

Chris Cerrella who is no stranger to the player development process, as he has amassed over 330 Junior A Tier III wins and placed more than 140 players into college hockey over the last 12 years.   As a player, he was a two-season all-star for the Waterloo Blackhawks in the USHL Tier 1 Junior A before receiving a four year scholarship to Quinnipiac University where he is still their all-time leading scorer (205 points) and rounded out his career playing minor pro hockey.
