Guilford, Conn.,

On Decemeber 8th, the East Coast Elite League will hold its annual All Star Game event at Ingalls Rink on the campus of Yale University.  The two competing teams at each level (two at 16U and two at 18U) are named after the four Division 1 Mens Ice Hockey Teams that are based out of the state.

At the 16U level, Team Huskies will take on Team Pioneers.  Team Bobcats and Team Bulldogs will faceoff at the 18U level All Star Game.  ECEL member teams will travel to Connecticut to watch the All Star Game before playing four ECEL league games.  The weekend will serve as the last regular season event before playoffs in February.

During the 16U All Star Game, Team Huskies coaching staff will be lead by Newbridge Olivier Filion, Jay Hebert of San Diego Jr. Gulls and Chris Ceransky of Team Maryland.  Tim Lovell of Boston Advantage 15U, Rob Himberg of Boston Advantage 16U and Justin Soryal of New Hampshire Avalanche will take the helm of Team Pioneers.

For the 18U game, Team Bobcats coaching staff will include Eric Healey of Boston Advantage, Chris Ceransky of Team Marlyand and Rob Liberatore of the 95 Giants.  Their opponent, Team Bulldog, will have coaches Luke Curadi of Elite Hockey Program, Matt Anthony of Newbridge Academy and Sean Teakle of Hill Academy.

“The draft was a great success as the top players from around the league were all chosen,” stated Commisioner J.P. Withington.   “The event will surely be a good one as the games will include D1 commits, players who have already been drafted and signed by Junior teams and coaches who serve as scouts for various levels of junior hockey.  Not to mention that it gives the opportunity for the players to skate on the ice of Ingalls rink, one of the most historic venues in North America.  ECEL is excited for next month and would like to congratulate all the participants.”
