Guilford, Conn.,

The 2017-18 East Coast Elite League (ECEL) season resumes on Friday, December 8th, with its third showcase taking place December 8th, 9th and 10th at Northford Ice Pavilion in Northford, Connecticut.  The weekend will be the final set of games for the ECEL 16U and 18U regular season before the leagues playoffs

This weekend also marks the All Star Game events for both 16U and 18U divisions. The ECEL All-Star game, which will take place at Yale University’s Ingall’s Rink, will benefit the United Heroes League.  Started in 2009, the United Heroes League has helped thousands of military families offset the cost of hockey by collecting equipment and donations to assist its members.  The East Coast Elite League directors and staff ask that in lieu of an attendance charge, fans and families make a donation of any amount to contribute to the charity.  In addition to the ECEL front desk, there will be a United Heroes League booth and representative with information on the charity along with a donation receptacle.  Each game will have special guests to come in and drop the puck.  This will be the second year that ECEL has teamed up with the United Heroes League.

"The ECEL is very proud to continue it's relationship with the United Heroes League" said ECEL President, Peter Alden. "Being able to give back to those who have served and are currently serving in the military is something we greatly enjoy doing. The UHL adds even more meaning to the ECEL's All Star Weekend and we look forward to having them again for this special event."

The past two ECEL events have seen the leagues’ players watched by NHL, NCAA, USHL, NAHL , BCHL staff, and the ECEL Winter Showcase will be no different.  Providing superior exposure and strong competition, the East Coast Elite League, continues to be one of the top showcase leagues in North America.

Founded in 2013, the East Coast Elite League is a four-weekend showcase series that will provide maximum exposure for its member organizations and their players, by playing in top venues, in ideal scouting locations. Spread across the U16 and U18 divisions and represented by several of the top hockey organizations across the country, the ECEL is the premier showcase series in the United States, unmatched in its format and exposure opportunities.
