Three ECEL Players Drafted to USHL Phase I Draft

 Guilford, Conn., - The East Coast Elite League is proud to announce three players of our member organizations were drafted into the United States Hockey League (USHL) Phase I Draft. The three skaters are; defenseman Tim Lovell (15U Boston Advantage) to the Chicago Steel, defenseman Nico Savoie (16U Newbridge Academy) to the Des Moines Buccaneers and defenseman Stephen Davis (15U Boston Advantage) to the Madison Capitols. “These three young men showed great leadership and skill this season. We are proud of where the league stands as well as what we are evolving into.” Peter Alden, ECEL President.

 Boston Advantage’s Tim Lovell and Stephen Davis were standouts this past season on the back end for the 15U team. Lovell recorded 8 points in 12 games and was selected first overall in the 2018 ECEL All-Star Draft. Davis finished with 5 points in 12 games and committed to Boston College.

Nico Savoie lead the way for Newbridge Academy this season. He finished this season with 16 points in 15 games, also tallying a 2018 ECEL All-Star selection and a commitment to Providence College.
