Team Maryland Tabs Two in the USHL Phase II Draft

 Guilford, Conn.,- During phase II of the United States Hockey Leagues (USHL) draft, Team Maryland had two players selected, goalie Dominic Basse was selected in the 4th round to the Youngstown Phantoms and defenseman Bryce Montgomery was selected in the 19th round to the Waterloo Blackhawks. Both players were a part of the 16U team that made it to the finals of the East Coast Elite League (ECEL).

Basse finished the season with .945 save percentage and a 1.50 goals against average, also nabbing a 2018 ECEL All-Star selections and a commitment to Colorado College. Montgomery finished with 12 points in 11 games and a 2018 All-Star selections.
