2018-19 ECEL Playoffs Most Valuable Players

18U DIVISION

Jeff Pollara, Boston Advantage – Pollara played a part in both of the Advantage’s goals in a 2-1 semifinal victory over Hill Academy, including scoring the overtime game-winner. The forward also netted one in the 5-0 championship game victory over the 95 Giants. For the playoff showcase, Pollara accounted for 3 goals and 2 assists in five games after posting just a single goal and assist in 12 previous ECEL contests.

 

16U DIVISION

Gino Colangelo, Hill Academy – Colangelo was central to Hill earning the top seed following the playoff preliminary round, during which the forward notched 3 goals and 5 assists, including setting up 4 goals in a win over West Coast. Despite being kept off the scoresheet in the semifinal against New Jersey, the 5-8, 160-pounder was pivotal in the championship game, scoring three times for a natural hat trick with his final goal clinching the title 39 seconds into overtime.

 

15U DIVISION

Shay Keating, New Jersey Titans – Keating saved his best performance of the season for the first-ever ECEL 15U championship game against Boston Advantage. After the Titans fell behind early, the forward scored a power-play goal before halftime to even the score. The 6-3, 180-pounder netted the eventual game-winner less than three minutes into the second half before completing the hat trick 15 minutes later in the 4-1 victory.
